This is Katie! She makes your clothes, and lives half an hour from Elizabeth so when they say locally made they mean it! She has been working for Elizabeth full time since November 2020. She started working very casually a year prior before this where they started samples, developed patterns and understanding the brand vision !

A bit about Katie: She graduated from UCA Rochester (same uni as Elizabeth) in Fashion Atelier (Fashion design with a focus on craft and technical skills), and has had an apprenticeship in bridal wear so her attention to detail and skill level with delicate fabrics is high.

She is really keen on promoting slow fashion, her values being quality over quantity. As long as her hands are busy and the sun is shining she is happy. She loves being outdoors and growing as many veggies as she can in her little garden. Through the pandemic and at the beginning of the business, Katie was sewing your fabulous items in her home studio at the end of her garden, but as of April 2021 everything is made in the elizabeth whibley ltd. studio and Katie and Elizabeth work alongside eachother everyday. Her favourite things to do are pattern cutting and top stitching.

She keenly is as eco-conscious as possible and believe if everyone makes smaller changes and buys responsibly we will create a better world. When she's finished working for the day it’s likely she'll be tucked up doing crochet and tending to plants. Elizabeth and Katie are very ambitious for elizabeth whibley ltd. and Katie is so happy to be a part of it. Katie is very grateful for all of your orders keeping her busy and happy doing what she loves !
